DDOT decides they want their newest bikeshare location to be on Illinois Ave

ANC 4C10 Commissioner Jonah Goodman sent an email to the listservs on Saturday outlining the selection by DDOT for the newest Bikeshare location. DDOT has selected the 4200 block of Illinois Avenue NW, just south of Grant Circle, for the bikeshare. This selection process has had its share of drama since late 2018, and some residents along Illinois had protested their block being selected.

ANC 4C will discuss the selection at their meeting next week on Wednesday, April 10th, 6:30pm at the Petworth Library.

Several residents along Decatur saw a turkey wandering near Decatur and Kansas Avenue NW this weekend. This is not the first time they’ve traipsed around the neighborhood, surprising people — most people don’t realize that there are wild turkeys in the area.
