Join President @lincolnscottage and the Armed Forces Retirement Home for a free tour of the very first National Cemetery. The event begins on Monday, May 26th at 10am with a wreath laying, and then two tours are available at 10:45am and 12:30pm. Pay your respects to those who gave their all for our country.

Rain delay doesn't stop the music! @petworthporchfest is still happening, now with 2 days of music! Saturday is Main Stage music at Petworth Rec Center with Upshur biz offering specials to celebrate, and then Sunday the 27th, the porch music kicks off at 2pm!

Morazan Grocery (14th Street)
Starting around 4:30pm. Junior environmentalists welcomed! Area businesses will be providing fun happy hour specials and discounts after the clean.
@petworthporchfest is Saturday, April 26th starting at 2pm on porches across the Petworth area. This year there are more than 300 bands playing at over 130 homes across the neighborhood, making this one the largest outdoor music festivals in DC. The map of porches and list of bands is available so you can plan your day!

Park View Rec Center playground is closed for the 2nd time in 2 years due to lead contamination, says @dcdgs. Parents want to know what DC is doing to keep the playground safe, as prior solutions haven't worked apparently. The playground is used by Bruce Monroe elementary as well.
