Anne Stom: Petworth’s 'Miss Fix-It' makes it happen

The story of Annie’s Ace Hardware is the classic tale of “build it and they will come.” Stom noticed that more and more people are moving to the neighborhood, most of the houses need renovation, and there’s no hardware store nearby.

DPW releases Street Sweeping app so you know when it's time to move your car

DPW releases Street Sweeping app so you know when it's time to move your car

This looks pretty handy. The Department of Public Works, which is responsible for street cleaning (and parking tickets!), has released an app for iOS and Android that will send out notifications when it’s time to move your car. The Women of Upshur: Celebrating Petworth’s female business owners
