Celebrate "National Drink Wine Day" with Mangia DC at Lincoln's Cottage

Oenophilia is real, people.

Ok, it just means a dedication and passion for wine, and if that describes you — or you just like a good glass of wine — then the National Drink Wine Day event at Lincoln’s Cottage on February 17th is made for you.

Mangia DC is celebrating annual National Drink Wine Day (which occurs that Monday at on February 18th) to “spread the love and health benefits of wine.”

“Wine has played an important role in history, religion and relationships. We embrace the positive benefits of wine such as new friends, reduced risk of heart disease, and the way it enhances food and life. We are celebrating a day before to make sure there is time to recover the day after before the work week begins!”

 
 

Come out to enjoy offerings from some local event sponsors and vendors, including:

  • Fleetwood Farm Winery: On the land of George Washington’s doctor, dates back to the 1740’s. With unique wines, they offer history tours with tastings.

  • DC WINE GUY: Offers wine to our nations capitol residents since the 1930's and has free delivery

  • Morris Miller: Offering unique alcoholic beverages to Washingtonians for over 90 years.

  • 90 Cellars: Works with acclaimed wineries and vineyards to curate a portfolio of fine wines from all over the globe.

  • 1 West Dupont Circle: A family-owned business with two generations and over two decades of experience and has one of the most unique wine and spirit varieties in our nation’s capital.

  • Stachowskis: Established in 2011, they’re known as the "Old World Corner Store for Carnivores" and are sharing meats for the event.

  • Georgetown Olive Oil Co.: A local family-owned business offering tasty olive oils, balsamics, and cheeses.

  • Red Jacket Orchards: Founded in 1958, local apple farm; with a short, clean ingredient list, every 100% juice variety is cold pressed, unfiltered, and never from concentrate.

The National Drink Wine Day event is Sunday, February 17th at 5pm:

  • 4 to 5 local wine establishments offering 1 to 2 wine tastings each!

  • Cuisine: tasty bites - charcuterie meats, cheeses, fruits, and balsamics

  • Inside tips from locals that know the history and architecture of Lincoln's Cottage

  • Specials from wine establishments at the event

  • Event is on in the snow, rain, or shine!

Tickets are $39, with a portion of the proceeds going to S.O.M.E, So Others Might Eat, to help feed those in need.
