Kennedy Street gets social with two upcoming events

Kennedy Street received a Main Streets designation recently, leading to streetscape improvements like new sidewalks, benches and trash cans that make the area mare visually appealing and welcoming. The Kennedy Street Development Corporation led the effort for the designation, and continues to work for community-focused improvements and opportunities. One piece of that are more social gatherings in the area.

A new pop-up has appeared on Georgia Avenue, one that calls back to the famous pepperoni rolls popular in West Virginia, and throws in a large menu along with it. Pepperoni Chic, located at 5111 Georgia Avenue NW in the old Straw Stick and Brick Deli location, specializes in showing all the glorious ways pepperoni can make rolls (sandwiches) sing with flavor.

Petworth Bandstand returns on Sunday, April 8th with 4 bands, 4 hours, 4 free!

The Petworth Bandstand free music show returns this Sunday, April 8th from 1-5pm at Petworth Citizen (829 Upshur St NW). The show kicks off at 1pm and goes until 5ish... with four local bands performing! The past two shows have been great, and this one will be awesome.

Thanks to Petworth Citizen, 10% of food & drink proceeds go to the Friends of the Soldiers Home, so come hungry and thirsty!
