In this era of the #MeToo movement, which has caused a cataclysmic effect across many professions in the wake of pervasive sexual harassment and silence, I want to recognize a local woman. A woman whose courage was critical to the legal case that established the precedent and protection against sexual harassment for all women today. That unsung hero is Sandra Gray Bundy, also known as "The First Silence Breaker” in the March edition of the Washingtonian Magazine.

A "Member Jam" party at REI's flagship store in Northeast DC on March 30th is featuring a ton of Petworth restaurants and retail to celebrate their Co-Op. The Jam "party" is free to attend. The second Petworth Bandstand show was a great success! (If I do say so myself...)

We were fortunate to have three amazing local bands come out and perform, and we raised a couple hundred dollars for Powell Elementary school. If you missed the show, there's one more on Sunday, April 8th, from 1-5pm at Petworth Citizen. We'll be featuring FOUR bands for over four hours of local music goodness.
