A silent auction fundraiser for the Petworth Community Market's 2017 season

The Petworth Community Market will kick off its eighth season on Saturday, May 6.

This year’s market will feature 20 vendors offering produce, meat, cheese, prepared foods and everything in between. The market takes place on 9th Street between Taylor and Upshur Streets. (Remember, there is no parking on this street from 7am – 1:30pm on Saturdays throughout the season).

They have a Kick-Off Fundraiser and Silent Auction on Monday, May 1, 6:30-9:30pm, at Ten Tigers Parlour. If you’d like you attend and support the market, you can get tickets online via EventBrite.

PaintCare is back this spring with a unique cleaning event – an opportunity to drop off old paint cans free-of-charge at the Anacostia Recreation Center on Saturday, April 8. Regulations prevent homeowners and contractors from disposing of the paint via regular trash collection. But, thanks to DC’s Paint Stewardship Law, getting rid of that old paint just easy.

Join the Kennedy Street Development Corporation (KSDC) and the Community Alliance for Upper Fourteenth Street (CAUFS) at their next "District SOUP" event at the Back Alley Theater.
