If a month is starting, then it's time for another First Friday arts event! From the Petworth Arts Collaborative Facebook Event page:

We are gearing up for another fun-filled First Friday on April 7th! Join us in bringing ART and COMMUNITY together by supporting some of Petworth's small businesses while enjoying ART.

Head to Hank's Cocktail Bar where artist Kari Faherty, of Black Sheep Beautiful Studio, will have a vibrant display of her work. "I have a neurological condition called Synesthesia," writes Kari Faherty. "This means my brain processes noise as color. I listen... and these colors become my art - a representation of the noise of life. " Kari's work will be displayed for the month of April.

After taking advantage of First Friday deals at of our participating businesses, join us on the Third Floor at 7:15pm, to take a break and enjoy some popcorn and refreshments as we present a documentary of Bone Mixers, directed by Mike DeChant and Doug Gritzmacher.

About Bone Mixers (2006): Each Wednesday night, Ed's cozy suburban home in Silver Spring, Md., is transformed into a raucous international dominoes club. Players from all parts of the globe show up to slap down a bone, forming an odd, yet unique family portrait amid thumping reggae beats, flowing wine, and contagious laughter.

Take in the rhythmic sounds of DJ Rita B at Fia's Fabulous Finds, dance while you shop between 6pm-8pm!

We look forward to seeing you soon and don't forget to visit Willow Fashion, Annie's Ace Hardware, Lighthouse Yoga Center, and Upshur Street Book on April 7th between 6pm-8pm to grab those First Friday deals!

As always, feel free to invite folks!
