The Southwest Petworth Lemonade Social is Wednesday, April 27 from 6:30pm until dark at the grassy triangle located at the intersection of Kansas Ave & Quincy St/13th St. If you haven't been before, this is a great way to hang out with your neighbors in a casual, relaxed setting. Organizer Russ Breckenridge sent out an email that the next Southwest Petworth Lemonade Social was going to meet at Lyman's Tavern (3720 14th St NW, 14th & Randolph Streets) -- so NOT at the corner park between Quincy & Kansas Ave NW. The Social is tomorrow, Wednesday, October 28th at 6:30. CM Brandon Todd will be onhand as well.
Lyman's is kid-friendly, and welcomes pets to the outdoor patio.
The next Southwest Petworth Lemonade Social is this Wednesday, August 26th from 6:30pm to dark at the grassy triangle at Kansas Ave and Quincy Street. There's always some tasty lemonade and people have been bringing cookies, veggies and other treats -- feel free to bring something for neighbors (or local bloggers) to enjoy!
And make sure you tell your neighbors who may not be online -- getting out to meet people and kids in a causal setting makes for a great community event.
The SWP Lemonade Social is the fourth Wednesday of every month.
The next Southwest Petworth Lemonade Social is today -- Wednesday, July 22nd -- from "6:30 til dark" in the triangle park at Kansas and Quincy.
I'll be there to safely walk across Kansas Avenue while admiring the new all-way stop signs.
