DDOT is hosting an Open House on Thursday, November 29 to review the design for the Revitalization of Kennedy Street Phase II Project.

The Phase II project continues the revitalization on Kennedy Street from 16th Street to Georgia Avenue. The project also incorporates work at the intersection of Georgia Ave and Illinois Ave at Longfellow Street.

The project scope includes roadway, curbing, and sidewalk reconstruction, streetscape upgrades, improvements to multi-modal transportation options, upgrades to ADA facilities, new low impact development (LID)/Stormwater management facilities and traffic signal upgrades. Additionally, the project incorporates Livability Study recommendations to improve driver and pedestrian safety along the corridor.
