Art All Night kicks off on Friday in Brightwood & Petworth!

On Friday, September 29th from 4:30pm to 1am, join your neighbors for Art All Night, a free citywide arts festival. Over 50 restaurants, businesses and community partners will host a jam-packed schedule of music, dance, visual arts, open studios, open houses, hands-on art making and more.

Art All Night highlights the rich, creative community and cultural diversity of our neighborhoods. On the 14th Street corridor, look for live music at outdoor cafes, open studios at Crestworth Arts Building, art and jazz at newcomer Treehouse, and energetic performances from troupes Furia Flamenca and Dance Loft on 14th. The Graffiti Museum will host a classic hip-hop movie and lessons in graffiti art.

On the Petworth corridor centered around Upshur Street, 9th Street and Georgia Avenue, enjoy live painting demonstrations, flower arranging workshops, youth art activities, master drummers and strolling mariachis.

Businesses will open their doors for art viewings, funk and rock bands, a photography projection, and even a special chant and chill yoga class on Kennedy Street. A new feature this year is the Ghanaian night market.

Art All Night is free and open to the public. Attendees can pick up a map at the information tables on Upshur Street and 14th Street to explore festival nodes and venues.
