The Petworth in the Park: Dog Days of Summer community event had to be moved to Sunday, September 7th. The day’s events start at 12pm for kids’ activities on Upshur Street, live music starts at 2pm at Petworth Park, with the Dog Show at 3pm, and then music continues until 6pm. Plus, local business specials and deals all day on the 800 block of Upshur with Petworth Bingo!

Savor the Flavors of Petworth

Enjoy some great specials and sales, a fun Petworth Bingo game and kids’ games and activities on the 800 block of Upshur Street all day starting at 12pm. To get your bingo card, stop by one of Petworth Main Street’s info tables at the corner of Upshur and 9th Streets, or at the Petworth Park at 8th and Taylor Streets. Every business on Upshur is part of the fun.

12pm – 2pm: Kids’ Entertainment & Games at 9th & Upshur Streets NW

Enter your furry companion for a chance to win some great prizes. The Petworth Dog Show & Contest is hosted by Drew Schneider, and will have three categories that you can enter with your furry friend:

Early Halloween Costume / Best Dressed – Whether you already have this year’s Halloween costume picked out or are dying to re-use last year’s, we can’t wait to see your pup all dressed up.
Best Owner or Dog Sibling Look-Alike – Have people said you and your dog look alike? Or do you have two pups who are twinsies?
Coolest Trick – Give your dog a chance to demonstrate their best trick

1st Place: $75 Gift Card
2nd Place: $50 Gift Card
3rd Place: $25 Gift Card

Dog Show Registration Fees (covers cost of prizes)

$15 Early Registration: Tuesday, August 12th — Monday, August 25th
$25 General Registration: Tuesday, August 26th — Monday, September 1st
