/Independence Day is almost here — which means the July 4th Celebration at the Old Soldiers' Home is back on the 4th!
Friends of the Soldiers Home (FOSH) is putting on another great July 4th Celebration from 4pm-9:30pm in the giant field on the grounds of the Home (340 Rock Creek Church Road NW).
Come out to hang with your neighbors and enjoy:
Music from DJ Billy "The Music Man" White
Kids Games and Bounce Houses
Food and Drink Trucks
Bike Parade hosted by Petworth Peanuts
and depending on weather, Fishing at the Lake with the Nam Knights
Food from Timber Pizza, City State Brewing, Rocklands Bar-B-Que, Kona Ice, Hitching Post and Captain Cookie
Volunteer!
They still need help with a variety of small jobs. Some of these roles include managing parking, running the beverage stand, supporting the FOSH table, monitoring the children activity zone, and more. If you’re interested in volunteering 1-2 hours of your time during this event please sign up!
