This Saturday, the Petworth Jazz Project season opener is ready for a redo!

Federico Gonzalez Peña

While the May 26th Petworth Jazz Project season opener was canceled due to rain, it's back for your enjoyment! The make-up date is this Saturday, June 23rd at 6pm, featuring an opening kids performance by Baba Ras D followed by local jazz pianist Federico Gonzalez Peña at 7pm!

Joining Federico will be Tarus Mateen on bass and Corey Fonville on drums. This is a line up of heavy hitters, don't miss it!

All performances are held on the lawn at the Petworth Rec Center at 801 Taylor Street NW.

This show is sponsored by Ryan T. DaSilva, realtor, and in part by a grant from the DC Commission on Arts and Humanities which is supported by the National Endowment For The Arts.

Free as always, bring a neighbor and tell a friend! See you on the lawn!

But wait, there's more!

The REGULARLY SCHEDULED June show is set for Saturday, June 30th, featuring jazz legend Nasar Abadey, Marshall Keys, Mike Pavone and James King

If you love the Petworth Jazz Project, consider helping them with their Go Fund Me campaign! Consider donating a few bucks to help keep this great local gem in our neighborhood!
