Around 4:30pm on Tuesday afternoon, a dark sedan and a dark SUV crashed into each other at the intersection of 5th and Upshur Streets NW. The SUV flipped onto its side, slamming into a parked (and unoccupied) Subaru.

DDOT gets ready to make traffic changes at 13th & Spring - new lights, one-ways and more

Back in October of 2018, we wrote about possible changes coming to 13th Street, Kansas Avenue, and Spring Road by DDOT. Those changes are now on the way, according to an email from Advisory Neighborhood Commission 4C Chair Bennett Hilley. She sent an email with details of the upcoming traffic and roadwork changes. DDOT modified the plans based on community feedback, according to Hilley.

A nine-year old grey and white bull terrier, Bae, was allegedly stolen from her home on the 1200 block of Decatur Street NW around 5:45pm on April 9th. At first, the owners had hoped a yard gate left open by a service provider may have let the dog escape on her own, but a video captured by a neighbor’s security camera shows two people — a man and a woman — walking with Bae.
