The fourth Celebrate Petworth Festival kicks off on Saturday, September 9th at 11am on the 800 block of Upshur Street with a full day of activities, vendors and plenty to enjoy. Come out to grab food, do a little shopping, enjoy some great music and art and hang with your neighbors!

DPR is proceeding with plans to turn the triangular patch of grass bordered by 13th Street NW, Kansas Street NW, and Quincy Street NW into a “meditation garden-style” park. But not everyone is happy about the changes. Some neighborhood residents say that while they are in favor of upgrading, they were not properly consulted about the form and function that the upgrades should take.
