Celebrate Petworth is Saturday, Sept 9 and is going to be great!

The 4th Annual Celebrate Petworth Festival is Saturday, September 9th on the 800 block of Upshur Street. Like the previous years, it'll be full of local vendors, artists, musicians and a puppy or two. And Petworth News is sponsoring a local music show from 2-7pm: "Petworthpalooza!"

The Festival is Saturday, September 9th, from 11am until 5pm, on Upshur Street between 8th and 9th Street NW.

There will be a performance stage featuring a variety of entertainment, from kids' performances to jazz, a Petworth History Tent and the return of the awesome and super fun dog show! Lots of local vendors will be there and delicious food trucks! Returning this year is the 3-on-3 Basketball Tourney and Fun Run.

Registration is needed for the dog show, the 3-on-3 Basketball Tourney and the Fun Run. (Sign up on the Celebrate Petworth website using those links.)

A full run-down and schedule is now available!

Petworth News is sponsoring "Petworthpalooza," a local music stage in the gravel lot behind Petworth Citizen, off the alley where the Petworth mural is located. The show is all about local musicians playing for a local audience. And there will be beer! $5 drafts courtesy of 3-Star Brewery. Bands include the The Treads, The Iris Bell, Distant Creatures and others! Learn more >

They need volunteers to help set up and breakdown, so if you want to join the fun and be a part of a great community event, send an email to Tom Pipkin at CelebratePetworth@gmail.com
