The Celebrate Petworth festival is becoming one of the biggest events in Petworth. Now going into its third year, they're looking to volunteers to join the steering committee and help shape this summer's next festival. (See a photo gallery from last summer's festival.) Here's their call for volunteers for a meeting next week:

The evening was the last night for Commissioner Kathleen Crowley, who resigned her seat on the commission. The ANC voted on new officers, talked about Cornrows & Co, reviewed an upcoming alcohol licensing meeting, talked about upcoming traffic changes at Powell, an agreement for Ruta del Vino and a special exception vote for a developer.
