Late in the evening on Wednesday, January 27th, someone walked down 4th Street NW between Upshur and Taylor and sliced at least one tire on 17 cars. Why?

Ah, the alleys... full of 20 feet of immovable snow (or at least, that's what it seems like). But what about your full trash and recycle cans? When are they going to be collected? DPW is planning on resuming collection on Thursday, with a shifted schedule until February 1st. Here's their press release...

With snow finally coming to DC, be aware of the new law about shoveling your sidewalk and public areas near your home or business. If you don't, you might get a fine. The Department of Public Works is now empowered to fine residents and businesses who don't shovel their sidewalks.
