It’s all about the neighborhood
Petworth has many cool residents, and I’m particularly fond of Dr. David Grinspoon who lives in our neighborhood and is a world-renowned astrobiologist and writer. He’ll be reading and doing a Q&A about his latest book, Chasing New Horizons: Inside the Epic First Mission to Pluto on Wednesday, July 24th at 7pm at Loyalty Books (827 Upshur St NW).

Every year the Friends of the Soldiers Home and the Armed Forces Retirement Home team up with sponsors to put on a family-friendly event with food, beer, music, games and more. It’s a great place to spend the holiday appreciating your neighbors, and your freedom.
