Donate baby, child & maternity items for the upcoming Mother's Day Free Market

Petworth Peanuts and Ward 4 Mutual Aid are accepting donations of items for maternity, babies and children for the Mother's Day Free Market! You can drop off donations at 20 area porches through Wednesday, May 7th, or bring them directly at the market location at Emory United Methodist (6100 Georgia Ave) on May 8th (9am-8:30pm), 9th (9am-4:30pm) or 10th (before noon). Learn more or follow the event on FB.

They are accepting almost anything related to kids/babies/maternity in good condition: clothes (nb - 6y), shoes, books, toys, car seats, strollers, furniture, gear of all kinds, anything nursing/feeding related, bedding, breast pumps and more.

They are also asking for cash donations to help cover market costs. You can donate on Venmo (@petworthpeanuts1) or on the Petworth Peanuts website. Expenses are expected to exceed $1,500, so every little bit helps.

To prep your donations:

  • Please bag and label clothes by size

  • Connect/contain all toy, puzzle, and gear parts

  • Tie or band shoes together in pairs

  • Ensure pump pieces are accompanied by a functional pump

Items they cannot accept:

  • Pump parts without the pump

  • Open or expired formula or food items

  • Clothes with stains, rips or holes

  • Single shoe (must be two shoes)

If you have questions or want to volunteer for the Market, you can contact Petworth Peanuts.
