The Advisory Neighborhood Commission 4C met on Thursday, October 13th to discuss DDOT’s Livability Study, welcome Congressional Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton and agree to disagree, but nicely from now on.

DDOT Livability Study recommendations are in, meeting on Friday

Late last month, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) released the final report for the Rock Creek East II Livability Study. Over a six-month period, the study looked at safety issues for vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians in Petworth, Crestwood, Brightwood Park and 16th Street Heights. The goal of the study “is to identify opportunities for safer travel for residents of and visitors to the study area, and to improve the transportation network, regardless of how you get around,” according to the final report.

There's a meeting on Friday, 10/21 to discuss the proposed bike lane for New Hampshire Avenue.

ANC commissioner suggests "tunnels" as solution; Livability Study final meeting

DDOT will host the third and final public workshop for the Rock Creek East II Livability Study this Thursday, September from 6-8pm (brief presentation at 6:30) at the Petworth Library. Also, a commissioner suggests tunnels as the solution.

ANC 4C prematurely votes against the DDOT Livability Study

In typical dysfunctional form, the Advisory Neighborhood Commission 4C voted at their meeting on Wednesday, August 10th to oppose DDOT's Livability Study recommendations (as yet unpublished at that time) about a suggested bike lane along New Hampshire Avenue between Grant Circle and Georgia Avenue.
