I remember the day I was summoned to my best friend's Petworth home for a meeting with close family and friends. I thought this could not be anything good. Nervous, anxious and panicked, we all assembled in the kitchen where she revealed her breast cancer diagnosis.

Join Slash Run & Brittany Kademian for a cancer research fundraiser

Brittany Kademian is getting ready to run the Boston marathon on April 18th in honor of those who are fighting cancer. Working with the “Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge” program, Brittany’s goal is to reach $10,000 in donations for cancer research and cancer care for those that need it most. Brittany is partnering with Petworth’s own Slash Run (201 Upshur St NW) to hold a fundraiser this Thursday, February 25th (5pm -12am).
