October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and as a recent breast cancer survivor and Petworth neighbor, I thought now would be a good time to tell my story and raise awareness of this all too common disease.

Working with the “Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge” program, Brittany’s goal is to reach $10,000 in donations for cancer research and cancer care for those that need it most. Brittany is partnering with Petworth’s own Slash Run (201 Upshur St NW) to hold a fundraiser this Thursday, February 25th (5pm -12am).
