Join your neighbors for a 311 "Sidewalk Palooza" and fix up the sidewalks

ANC Commissioners Jonah Goodman and Alan Wehler, along with Brittany Kademian (VP of Petworth Peanuts and ANC 4C05 candidate) are organizing an afternoon to fix the neighborhood sidewalks. They’re inviting everyone to come out to Grand Circle on Monday, October 17th from 5-6pm to join the fun.

Sidewalk Palooza! is designed to highlight pedestrian infrastructure challenges and possible solutions, while also being fun and building community. The primary goal is to submit as many 311 requests as possible for sidewalk repairs, sidewalk gaps, pedestrian crossing protections, safe passage to school, and more.

Over 375 requests were submitted last year during Sidewalk Palooza events through the District; you can check out more about it plus see the map of all Sidewalk Palooza events in DC.

Parents: please meet us with your strollers at the Grant Circle playground and plan to roll, in pairs with another neighborhood parent, to different directions to figure out which sidewalks in our neighborhood are not conducive to rolling stroller wheels for new 311 requests.

Neighbors: please meet us at Grant Circle, and local traffic safety enthusiasts will meet and walk with you in different directions to talk about neighborhood issues and ideas on how to address them while looking for sidewalks in need of repair for 311 requests.

Together, we can help fix our broken sidewalks to make our neighborhood more walkable and accessible to all!
