Shop local! It’s the season of giving!

The businesses of Upshur Street invite you to join them in giving back to the community this Small Business Saturday (November 30th). Participating businesses are organizing charity drives to benefit local organizations that are close to their hearts.

Willow DC (843 Upshur Street NW): Win a YEAR of free dresses by participating in Willow’s Holiday Toy Drive benefiting DASH (District Alliance for Safe Housing). They are collecting children’s toys and books for the kiddos at DASH all November long, leading up to Small Business Saturday on November 30th. 1 donation = 1 entry into the drawing. She Loves Me (808 Upshur Street NW): Participate in She Loves Me’s sweatshirt drive for N St. Village by bringing in a new or gently worn sweatshirt or sweatpants on November 30th and receive a FREE small dried flower arrangement.

Loyalty Books (827 Upshur Street NW): Donate a book at Loyalty Bookstores on November 30th for title one schools through An Open Book Foundation and you’ll be entered to win one of FIVE $50 gift cards to Loyalty Bookstores. Don’t have a book? No worries–Loyalty Bookstore has plenty to choose from!
