Petworth Citizen & DC Reynolds on the Great American Cooking Story

Local favorites DC Reynolds, owned by Jeremy Gifford, and Petworth Citizen, owned Paul Ruppert, were showcased in an episode of a recent short documentary called The Great American Cooking Story by Clara Ritger.

The documentary looks at the ways that small restaurants play a large role in revitalizing neighborhoods like Petworth. It's a worthwhile 10 minutes to listen to Jeremy and Paul talk about their perspectives in why they own businesses in Petworth and how those businesses impact the community and neighbors.

The video also features Kent Boese, chair of Park View's ANC 1A, local historian and friend of Petworth. Give it a watch:

With 5 hours or less in each city, I sought out to tell the stories of chefs and restaurant owners in revitalizing neighborhoods.
