Lulabelle's Sweet Shop (847 Upshur Street NW) officially opens Saturday, 12/9, but I got a sneak peek (and a sweet taste of some ice cream) this afternoon. So yum!

Owner Julie Wineinger, who also owns Willow located a few doors down on Upshur Street, said they almost ready to go. (The chocolate shipment didn't show up on time.)

Lulabelle’s is a collaboration between Julie Wineinger of Willow and Emily Friedberg and Jeanlouise Conaway of Each Peach Market in Mt. Pleasant.

Starting Saturday, December 9th, you can stop by the sweet shop and pick up some delicious ice cream (I had the coffee cookies and cream and give it two thumbs up), a coffee or espresso, hot chocolate and much, much more. And of course, lots of different flavors of ice cream. Manager Robert Lintott is ready to serve up a mint candy cane, cookies and cream, peanut butter cup and more on a cone or in a cup. There's cookies and you can also pick up some awesome gifts and knick-knacks, soaps and more.

Definitely stop by tomorrow when you come out for the Upshur Street Art & Crafts fair (which will offer great shopping from local vendors, music, food and more!).
