A community gathering for "peaceful reflection" at Lincoln's Cottage tonight
/Lincoln's Cottage reached out this morning to say they're hosting a "peaceful reflection" for the community as a way of coming together.
We recognize that people are expressing a need to come together, peacefully, when we are a House Divided. As a National Monument, where Lincoln came to deal with epic division and chaos in our country, we are committed to providing a secular place of reflection and serving as your beacon of hope.
Our lights are on for you. All of you.
President Lincoln’s Cottage will be open today from 3:30-7:30 PM for a time of peaceful reflection. The event is free, come-as-you-are, open to friends, families, everyone.
We’ve created an event on our Facebook page, and I’ve attached our flyer with more information. Please help us pass on the word.

The Cottage is hosting a series of fun, informative and free events for the neighborhood and friends to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday and shine a light on civic mindfulness.
