You know Summer is coming to an end when the Petworth Jazz Project has its season finale show. But don't frown, this show sounds like it'll be awesome.
It's also a combo show with the Petworth Dance Project, which was rained out a couple of weeks back. Between Baba Ras D for the kids (and c'mon, you like him too), Dance, Jazz and some tasty Timber Pizza, Petworth Park is going to be THE place to be on Saturday night, September 26th.
The night starts with the ever-popular Baba Ras D and his kids show at 5pm. Then the Petworth Dance Project's last performance of the season starts at 6pm with ACW Dance and Laura Quiroga and Artists. (This article has all the info about the dancers.)
At 7pm, you'll be treated to the electric violin, bass guitar and drums of the Dave Kline Band and their "inventive hybrid mix with rock, funk, jazz, fusion, blues and swing."
Timber Pizza will be onhand with their mobile wood-fired pizza oven (they're opening a restaurant at 809 Upshur St NW later next year). Read about the owners of Timber Pizza, and my quick mini-review of their pizza.

And of course, I'll be there taking photos! See last month's gallery >
