MPD hosts "Beat the Streets" community event on 9th Street TODAY
/No, it's not a huge crime scene... it's "Beat the Streets," the annual street fair put on by MPD and DC agencies on 9th Street between Upshur and Taylor Streets NW. It started at 2pm and goes until 7pm on Wednesday, July 26th.
Each year, MPD, local social service agencies and community vendors partner together to help make the summer event a success. Come out to meet your local and Fourth District MPD officers, as well as other DC agencies and enjoy free performances from local bands and artists, free giveaways, and free food.
So stop by, meet some officers and pick up some DC swag.

Join President Lincoln’s Cottage on September 19, from 10am to 2pm, for their free annual Homecoming celebration inspired by the Lincoln family’s time living on the grounds of the Soldiers’ Home, here in the Petworth neighborhood.
