Battle of the Bands comes to Capitol Cider House with over $1,000 in prizes!

Capitol Cider House and Petworth News are sponsoring a Battle of the Bands concert series starting Thursday, October 11th and going until the finale on December 9th. Eight bands will compete for cash prizes, with first place receiving $1,000. Sweet!
First show is Thursday, October 18th from 8-10pm at Capitol Cider House (3930 Georgia Avenue NW). Next show dates are Thursdays October 25th, November 8th and November 29th, finale on Sunday, December 9th. Should be a great time.
Come out to support your favorite local bands (list of bands to come!) and help them move on to the finale!

Join President Lincoln’s Cottage on September 19, from 10am to 2pm, for their free annual Homecoming celebration inspired by the Lincoln family’s time living on the grounds of the Soldiers’ Home, here in the Petworth neighborhood.
