The Celebrate Petworth Festival is almost here!

Kicking off at 11am on Saturday, September 23rd on the 800 block of Upshur, Celebrate Petworth is bringing music, food, kids’ activities, vendors and more to Upshur and 9th Streets.

The Dog Show is at noon and features three fun categories to compete in with your furry companion:

  • Early Halloween Costume / Best Dressed – Whether you already have this year’s Halloween costume picked out or are dying to re-use last year’s, we can’t wait to see your pup all dressed up.

  • Owner or Dog Sibling Look-a-like – Have people said you and your dog look alike? Or do you have two pups who are twinsies?

  • Coolest Trick – Give your dog a chance to demonstrate their best trick!

The Kids’ Zone, hosted by Tara Hoot, brings a ton of activities and fun to the 4200 block of 9th Street.

  • 1pm-2pm @ The Activity Tent: "Paint & Plant" for grown-ups and kids – decorate a plant pot and plant a seed or seedling

  • 2pm-4pm @ The Activity Tent: "Make Your Own Comic Book Character" with An Open Book Foundation
