You're invited to a community Q&A with DC AG candidate Brian Schwalb

The Democratic primary election for DC Attorney General is over, and Brian Schwalb won the primary. The reality is that DC is a Democrat majority town, so chances are pretty good he’ll get elected in the November general election.

Petworth News wants to give the community an opportunity to meet the person who is taking over for Karl Racine. Moreland’s Tavern graciously offered their cool upstairs floor for an event on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 hosted by Drew, founder of Petworth News. Enjoy $5 happy hour prices on drinks and complimentary appetizers!

The setup: Drew and Brian sitting up front on bar stool with two microphones, a tasty beverage from Moreland’s bar and a list of questions that YOU can submit ahead of time.

We’ll learn a bit about Brian’s background, his goals for the Office of the Attorney General and how he intends to take over from his predecessor. Then we’ll move into questions the community submitted, and those in attendance can ask additional questions live in the room.

Details:

  • 6:30-7pm: Enjoy some happy hour specials and light appetizers.

  • 7-8pm: Q&A with Brian Schwalb, community questions

  • 8-9pm: Stay for some follow-up questions, drinks and socializing!

You must RSVP to attend, it’s free, and there’s only 40 seats available. You must wear a mask and have proof of COVID-19 vaccination. If you can’t make it, we’ll be streaming the event on the Petworth News Facebook page starting at 7pm.

Submit your questions online via this form by Sunday, September 4th!

Date: Tuesday, September 6, 2022 starting at 6:30pm

Location: Moreland’s Tavern (5501 14th St NW)

My sincere thanks to Moreland’s Tavern for hosting the event! Go grab dinner and drinks there one night and enjoy some great family fare!

This is not a campaign event and Petworth News is not being paid or compensated (well, Brian may buy me a beer and a burger as way of saying thanks… ). It IS a Petworth News event to give the community a chance to meet the candidate for DC AG. Come prepared with questions!
