Thieves make off with Qualia's safe

The holiday spirit is not alive and well in some people in the neighborhood. Qualia Coffee (3917 Georgia Avenue NW) had a break-in this weekend.
Owner Joel Finkelstein said thieves broke into Qualia on Saturday night / Sunday morning, and took their entire safe, which weighs over a hundred pounds, so not an easy theft.
Joel is hoping the thieves dump the safe somewhere, in case they can get it back.
“It is a black metal box, about 20 x 15 x 15 with a red painted drop drawer in the front and a spin dial combo lock,” he said. “I figure they have to dump it eventually, so hoping neighbors can keep an eye out for it.”
