The Petworth News Socially Distant Halloween Parade was a success! Really couldn’t be happier with how smoothly the parade went, how many people showed up, the kids and the costumes — awesome. It couldn’t have happened without the whole neighborhood pulling together.

My thanks to the volunteers who gave their time and energy to set up, direct traffic and clean up. You guys are amazing.

And my thanks to Petworth Ace Hardware for donating masks, candy bags, spider webbing and sidewalk chalk, and to President Lincoln’s Cottage for proactively reaching out to volunteer their time and to drop off hand sanitizer, masks, bagging candy and working at the event.

Special thanks to Phillip Ford who took most of these great photos!

And thanks to everyone who donated inflatable decorations and funds to help cover costs!

Maybe we’ll do this again next year?

Here’s a huge photo gallery of the day!
