Fall Fun Fest at the Old Soldier's Home this Sunday

The public is invited to join the Armed Forces Retirement Home’s resident veterans to celebrate autumn with the Fall Fun Fest on Sunday, October 4th from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Upper Grounds (8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.)

  • 58th Annual Antique Car Show and Parade
  • Military medical displays, information tables, arts & crafts sale, and bake sale
  • Petting zoo and People Animals Love (PAL) visit
  • Historic fife & drum ensemble and drill team performance
  • Tour of the Sherman Tower
  • Bourbon tasting

Lower Grounds (12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.)

  • Food trucks ($$) and beer
  • Bounce house, inflatable soccer, carnival games & pumpkin patch
  • Alte Kameraden German Band
  • Children’s story readings
  • Accordion Queen of Washington, DC

Our partners for the event are the Friends of the Soldiers Home, President Lincoln’s Cottage, Creative Minds International Public Charter School, and the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES)
