Fall Break fun for kids at Lincoln's Cottage starts Oct 9th

It’s hard to believe that fall is upon us! The leaves are changing color at the Cottage and we’re in the mood for some fun fall programs!  

Next week is Fall Break for DCPS, and we have some special offerings in honor of Tad Lincoln, who lived at the Cottage, explored the grounds, learned from the Bucktail soldiers, and played games with his famous father.

  • Self-guided landscape tours of Lincoln’s Wild Home (available 9:30am-4:30pm, purchase tickets and pick up maps at the front desk of the Robert H. Smith Visitor Education Center)

  • Complimentary lawn games on the South Lawn (available 9:30am-4:30pm, check out games at the front desk of the Robert H. Smith Visitor Education Center)

  • Crafting for Connection (Open 9:30am-4:30pm at the Robert H. Smith Visitor Education Center) (free)

  • Bring your own lunch to the picnic area behind the Robert H. Smith Visitor Education Center (or bring a picnic lunch and a blanket to the South Lawn)
