Comedy show to support Houston donations at Colony Club, Friday 9/8
/Before Irma dumps the ocean on Florida, come out to a special comedy show at the Colony Club (3118 Georgia Ave NW) on Friday night, September 8th at 9pm with donations going to support recovery efforts in Houston.
Doors at 8:30pm, and attendees are encouraged to donate anything they can; Colony Club will contribute 10% of bar sales to audience donations. Donations will go to Houston-based organizations that center women, children, LGBTQ+ resources, residents experiencing homelessness, people of color, and displaced immigrant communities for a #JustHarveyRecovery.
The organizers will choose from a list of vetted organizations to direct donation.
The show is produced by Charise Johnson (an environmental science professional with the Union of Concerned Scientists) and Brittany Carney, a DC comedian. - Natalie McGill (2 Dope Queens)
- Tim D. Miller (TruTV)
- Dylan Meyer (Kennedy Center)
- Brittany Carney (DC Improv Comedy Club)
- Steven Chen (DC Drafthouse Comedy Theater)
