Chez Billy gets a new name, new concept & new hours

Chez Billy, the French-bistro styled restaurant at 3815 Georgia Avenue who closed its doors on Sunday, July 31st, has a new name and new concept. The concept seems a bit all over the map, but it sounds like the Hilton brothers, who own the space, are trying to find a way to make it more community-focused and relevant.

The new name is Ten Tigers Parlour, and will be styled as a "Victorian Era / Asian-styled neighborhood bar that serves dim sum, dumplings and small salads." They said they are working with a popular local chef for their new menu.

They also plan to offer a coffee bar in the mornings and use their upstairs space for DJ music events, and possibly yoga and dance classes. To accommodate the new uses, they plan to open up earlier in the day (6am for coffee), and close later in the evening to allow customers to leave after last call.

No opening date announced yet, but I'm sure we'll be hearing more on Ten Tigers Parlour in the coming weeks and probably an opening in October (guessing).

What do you think of the Victorian neighborhood bar with dim-sum, coffee, yoga, DJ idea?
