Celebrate Petworth is bringing a full day of fun & you can help make it happen!

Now in it’s 9th year, the Celebrate Petworth Festival is set for September 23, 2023 on the 800 block of Upshur Street.

Celebrate Petworth started in 2014 when a group of community organizers led by Tom Pipkin came together to create a new kind of neighborhood festival: one that seeks to bring together the residents of our neighborhood and give them more opportunities for collaboration, socialization and fun.

That first year, 2013, the Festival was in June, was only on the 800 block, and much was smaller and it rained. But we went and it was great. This year it’s in September (when the weather is usually great in DC), is being run by the new Petworth Main Street and includes so many vendors, food options and musicians and has expanded up along 9th Street NW. It’s a volunteer-led event by neighbors for neighbors.
