Alleypalooza 6 gives a facelift to Petworth’s worst alleys

At long last, some of Petworth’s filthiest and broken up alleys are getting a facelift, thanks to Mayor Muriel Bowser’s Alleypalooza. This is the sixth phase of the city's ongoing initiative to focus on alley repair within DC, and will run from mid-October through mid-December. So far, the city has repaired more than 400 alleys through the program in the past several years.

Instead, they accidentally met at a bus stop nearby their homes in Petworth on the way to the date. Turns out, they only lived only a few houses away from each other. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Cider house rules! A new cider brewery and restaurant to open on Georgia Avenue

Jared Fackrell really likes cider. I mean, apples are definitely his thing. The 32-year old former Navy officer has been brewing his own cider at home for years, and with the changes to the brewery laws in DC, he recently decided to take his passion to a new level and open a cider house and restaurant in Petworth. The new place is called Capitol Cider House and will be located at 3930 Georgia Avenue NW, beneath the Fahrenheit apartment building.
