DC residents may be eligible for a refund for purchasing milk products

Dairy-consuming Washingtonians could find themselves with extra petty cash on hand. Thanks to a class action settlement, anyone in the District who bought milk or milk products (e.g., cheese, yogurt, cream, etc.) since 2003 may be entitled to a payment of up to $20. Residents of 15 other states are also eligible for the payout.

Finally feeling at home: civic duty and neighborhood pride

I lived in DC for almost 10 years — a lifetime in our transient city — before I set foot in the Wilson Building, home of the DC Council.
