Several residents along Decatur saw a turkey wandering near Decatur and Kansas Avenue NW this weekend. This is not the first time they’ve traipsed around the neighborhood, surprising people — most people don’t realize that there are wild turkeys in the area.

On Friday, February 15th, surrounded by bright colorful posters and toddler-sized school chairs, a very large crowd of residents and government officials gathered at Blandi's Child Learning Center to talk about the recent shooting at 5th and Kennedy Streets, along with other crime issues in the area.
The take-away? According to MPD Chief Peter Newsham, the intersection of 5th and Kennedy is the most dangerous intersection in their Fourth District.

Advisory Neighborhood Commission 4C held its last meeting of the year on Wednesday, December 12th. A fair number of current commissioners will be leaving the ANC, as the new term starts in January, including long-term 4C08 Commissioner Timothy Jones, who served for 22 years. And yes, there was some drama at the meeting. It is 4C, afterall.
