Residents near 7th and Shepherd Sts NW are putting together a block party for the neighborhood on Saturday, August 11th from 2-8pm, and it looks great. From their invite:

We’ll have grilled meats, fun drinks, games and general merriment for anyone that stops by! We'd absolutely love it if you and yours joined us for a Petworth party.

There'll be:

BIKES! The friends at Bike House will host a bike clinic to help with your bike needs.
