DC Mayor Muriel Bowser will be holding a meeting at Powell Elementary tomorrow, Wednesday, December 16 at 4pm to discuss traffic and pedestrian safety issues.

If you want to discuss the issues along Upshur Street or behind Powell along Taylor, I recommend you try to attend.

Khalil Thompson, the Ward 4 liaison for the Mayor's office, sent out an email late yesterday:

Commissioner, Parents and Neighbors,

I am reaching out to you personally because you sent a letter to the Mayor’s Office stating concerns after the recent incident at Powell Elementary School.

Please know her office and agencies have been working with DCPS to find a solution. I hope you can you join us on December 16th at 4:00pm at the Powell Elementary to hear from our agencies about the proposed next steps.
