Petworth News and Pipkin Creative are happy and sad to throw a going-away party for Carol Herwig and George Morgan, two stalwarts of the Petworth community.

Carol moved to Petworth in 1985, and George followed soon after in 1989. They’ve had many different careers in that time, but always the same passion: helping the Petworth community.

I asked Carol who to invite to her party, and she said there’s too many people in the neighborhood that she’d like to see and reach out to individually, so how about Petworth News throw a party? I said absolutely!

Join us on Friday, March 24th at 7pm on the third floor of Commonwealth Cantina (3911 Georgia Ave NW) for a party celebrating Carol and George, and wishing them all the best as they get ready to head up north to Maine.

We’ll have great food, drinks and music!
