Get your laughs well done... Slash Run hosts a comedy night on Tuesdays

Slash Run, the hardcore and delicious burger restaurant at 201 Upshur St NW is going to start hosting a new comedy show on Tuesday evenings featuring "Crooked Comedy DC."

According to Alex Espinoza, the Crooked Comedy DC promoter, the troupe is an inclusive comedy production team that is excited to bring more comedy to the DC area and in particular, Petworth's own Slash Run. The shows will have about 7 comics, and will run from about 7:30 to 10pm on Tuesday nights.

"With comedy reaching new heights of success nationally, new up-and-coming comics ply their talents at the local level by going to open mics such as the one at Slash Run," Alex said.

The goal of the show is to give new comics an opportunity to try out their skills in front of a live audience. Anyone who wants to perform stand up is encouraged to reach out to the hosts to get an opportunity to tell jokes and be a part of the fun.

"Slash Run's intimate feel make it a great place to watch comedy and grab a delicious burger," Alex said. "We hope you'll join us in making Petworth a wonderful place to live and laugh!"

Tuesdays, 7:30 - 10pm at Slash Run (201 Upshur St NW)

I was eating dinner with my friend when I was informed of a stand-up comedy show. I asked if I could join, and here is the result! http://twitter.com/djcronut
