The DC Department of Transportation is holding a community meeting on Tuesday, January 21st to discuss the Reconstruction of Kennedy Street NW Phase II Project.

DDOT will present an overview of the final design plans, continuing the reconstruction on Kennedy Street NW from 16th Street to Georgia Avenue. The project also incorporates work at the intersection of Georgia and Illinois Ave at Longfellow Street.

The project includes roadway, curb and sidewalk reconstruction, as well as streetscape upgrades, improving ADA accessible facilities, new low impact development (LID)/stormwater management facilities and traffic signal upgrades.

The project incorporates Livability Study recommendations to improve driver and pedestrian safety along the corridor.
