Affordable housing, inclusionary zoning, and new grants available: ANC 4D draft March agenda

The Advisory Neighborhood Commission for 4D meets on Tuesday, March 15th at Truesdell EC (800 Ingraham St NW) at 7pm.

Karanja Slaughter is tentatively attending to discuss the Department of Housing and Community Development’s plans for acquiring the two vacant lots at 809-813 Kennedy St. to create affordable housing. (Note this is where the late, great AJ Cooper launched his campaign for City Council in 2014.)

Note that a Special Community Meeting is scheduled for the night after the ANC meeting. Deputy Mayor Brenda Donald will answer the community’s many questions regarding the proposed transitional housing facility at 5505 5th St. NW. , Wednesday March 16th at Brightwood Park United Methodist Church, 6:30-8:30pm.
