It’s all about the neighborhood
Every year, President Lincoln's Cottage, on the grounds of the Old Soldier's Home, hosts the Bourbon & Bluegrass Festival, a fun event to kick off the summer fun. Neighbors come out for a full day of live bluegrass music, food, kids' games on the great lawn and to try out different bourbon drinks.

Bourbon and Bluegrass brings together a family-friendly event of food, drink, games and music on the grounds of the Armed Forces Retirement Home, where President Lincoln used to vacation to get away from the White House.
